Bad Boys is an American action comedy film franchise spanning three films that follow the lives of two Miami narcotics detectives and lifelong friends, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, portrayed by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, respectively. The franchise consists of three movies, Bad Boys in 1995, Bad Boys II in 2003, and Bad Boys for Life in 2020. Created by George Gallo, the first two movies were directed by Michael Bay, while Adil & Bilall helmed the third. The fourth installment will premiere on June 7, 2024. |
L.A.'s Finest is an American action crime television series focusing on former DEA agent Sydney Burnett, now working as an LAPD detective alongside Nancy McKenna. Created by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier, this 2019 offshoot of the Bad Boys franchise stars Gabrielle Union alongside Jessica Alba. The series aired for two seasons. |
