Marco Vargas is a character in Bad Boys II. He is a Detective with Miami PD as part of the TNT unit.
His partner is Mateo Reyes. He is also the older brother of Tito Vargas who lives in Cuba.
He is portrayed by Jason Manuel Olazabal.

Bad Boys II[]
In 2003, Vargas and Reyes were brought into the TNT unit as a replacements for Sanchez and Ruiz who had retired eight years after helping Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett (who were promoted to their Lieutenant rank) take down French drug kingpin Fouchet and recovering $100 million of heroin stolen from the police station since 1995.
The TNT unit begin their investigation of highly-potent ecstasy being smuggled in Miami which led to surveillance of boats coming in from Cuba and Amsterdam leading them to a Ku Klux Klan meeting held in a swamp outside of Miami only to their discovery that the klansmen are in fact buyers and not distributors of the drugs. After Mike accidently shot Marcus in the buttocks while shooting at a gunmen during a shootout. Vargas and Reyes tease them with the situation by asking Mike to kiss the wound so that it would feel better and pretend that their not even there. An angry Marcus tells them to leave with a Ricky Martin reference with Vargas taking that as a racist remark.
It is later revealed that Russian gangsters Alexei and Josef Kuninskavich are in fact the real distributors of the drugs on behalf of cuban drug lord Hector Juan Carlos "Johnny" Tapia. Vargas and Reyes assist in the investigation by planting wiretaps on Tapia's phones. They later discover Tapia will meet Syd at the beach while she is undercover as a DEA agent and has refocus the investigation towards Tapia after he eliminated the Russians from the equation.
Vargas and Reyes later assist Mike and Marcus in infiltrating the Spanish Palms Mortuary which is a business owned by Tapia's mother by posing as ambulance workers. When Marcus is almost discovered with a naked woman's corpse, Mike orders the two to crash the ambulance into the building as a diversion. At first they are reluctant but do the accident anyway allowing Mike and Marcus to escape out the back.
After Marcus and Mike find and videotape evidence at the Mortuary, they head to Captain Howard's home to show him the footage which authorizes Howard to issue a warrant to raid Tapia's mansion, the Mortuary and Miami Harbor.
The next day, Howard gathers the TNT to hit up the locations allowing Marcus and Mike to raid Tapia's Mortuary and Vargas and Reyes raiding the mansion. Tapia later escapes from his mansion and escapes with Syd to Cuba after discovering her identity as a DEA agent. He calls Marcus and demands the return of his drug money in 48 hours in exchange for Syd's life. This leads to Marcus and Mike traveling to Cuba with their team, Syd's DEA co-workers and Howard's contacts from the CIA to prepare a plan to rescue Syd from Tapia's compound. Vargas reveals to Marcus that his brother Tito lives in Cuba which Marcus and Mike get help from.
Vargas and Reyes along with the TNT help Mike and Marcus in rescuing Syd and taking down Tapia at the end of the film.
