Nico Perez is the younger brother of Nancy McKenna.
History[]
Nico and his sister had a rough upbringing with their abusive mother who would frequently beat them, leaving them often with bruises, broken bones and cigarette burns. In order to escape the abuse, Nancy would pull off robberies with Dante as a means to raise enough money.
One day, as Nico was being beaten by his mother, Nancy attempted to protect him by fighting back. As she was trying to take her money stash and a gun, her mother managed to grab onto the bag, making her drop and reveal its contents. Another fight between his sister and mother occur, and in an attempt to protect his sister, he grabs the gun on the floor and shoots his mother dead. A panicked Nancy calls for Dante and Ray to help them cover the situation, leading them to bury her body and making a pact to keep this secret to the grave.
Throughout the years, as Nancy worked towards a cleaning herself up and becoming a LAPD police officer, Nico was taken care of by Dante and Ray. Despite being brought up around criminal activity, Nico works to make an honest living for a company, though he still keeps some contacts around.
Through his connections, he was able to bust out Dante unknowingly when he was arrested and on his way to the hospital, after Nancy poisoned him.
Nico blames himself for ruining his life and those that he cares about around him.
